As a Management Trainee, you will gather experience in the primary areas of the specialized transportation and logistics industries. These areas include operations, freight dispatch, customer service, sales, accounting, and risk management. You will experience different situations on a daily basis and by gathering experience in these key areas, you will learn how they work together to make a successful company.
Successful candidates must have a four-year degree in business or a related field. Candidates must be able to multi-task, have basic computer and internet skills, and be able to work with a variety of people. Customer service, organization and communication skills are imperative in our business. Candidates must demonstrate a sincere interest in the transportation and logistics industry.
Upon completion of training there are a variety of promotion and advancement opportunities. Candidates must be flexible and willing to relocate as needed. We believe in promotion from within. All of our senior and executive managers started as Management Trainees. Between the many departments within our corporate center, our partner companies, and our 8 terminals located around the country, you can move up and build a lifetime career with Daily Express.
Management Trainee Summary
• Hands-on training in Transportation, Trucking, 3rd Party Logistics including operations, freight dispatch, customer service, sales, driver relations, and risk management

Requirements

Compensation
The Management Trainee position is a salaried position. The salary is based on a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday with no weekends, or holidays. Management Trainees typically receive up to 10% increase in base salary upon completion of training and/or relocation. The company also conducts twice/year cost of living pay increase reviews for all employees. In addition to low cost Highmark Blue Shield medical benefits, Daily Express provides a profit sharing plan* which averages 10-15% of your base compensation.
